Travel information about Krabi

Krabi province is considered a jewel in the crown of the beautiful country of Thailand. It has limestone rocks jutting out spectacularly, world class beaches islands, temples, markets, nightlife and shopping. There are numerous activities including water sports, hot springs, national parks, waterfalls, Thai cooking schools, rock climbing and elephant trekking.  Locals describe Krabi as “like Phuket 20 years ago.”

Krabi town is the travel hub of the South Andaman with a modern international airport 20 minutes from town. It is a 1 hour flight from Bangkok and flights connect daily to Singapore and Malaysia. From Krabi you can get to the beautiful beaches of Ao-Nang, Railey and Klong Muang as well as the local islands of Koh Phi Phi, Koh Lanta and Koh Jum. Unlike Phuket the traffic is not overwhelming and a great way to get around  is to hire a motor bike and explore the surroundings.
